Courtney Mathis has nearly a decade of experience in public relations and social media management in the arts, fashion, entertainment, non-profit and culinary industries. Prior to joining the team, she freelanced and owned a boutique PR firm known as Coco X PR where she led digital strategy for the Detroit Branch NAACP, managed publicity for the Detroit Jazz Festival, and led public relations for Detroit City Council member Roy McCalister Jr. In her previous roles, she secured placements in O Magazine, Vogue, Essence, People Magazine, GMA3, Newsweek, BET, BRAVO, Dr. Phil, Jimmy Fallon Late Show, The Real, and nationally syndicated radio shows. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and Spanish from Western Michigan University.
