Position Overview

The Senior Manager is pivotal in leading and shaping the organization's public relations efforts. This individual is responsible for steering the development and execution of strategic PR plans, managing client relationships, and leading digital marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop strategic public relations plans and proposals that clearly outline objectives, strategies, and measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Lead the creation and management of project and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and agency resources.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of growth and excellence through effective coaching and performance management.
  • Staff teams, according to client budgets, oversee project activities and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Industry Engagement and Media Relations:

Client Relationship Management:

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in public relations, with a preference for agency background.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a related role.
  • Proven track record of leadership in public relations, including campaign development, team management, and client service excellence.
  • Expertise in media relations, social media, and digital marketing strategies.

Associate

Position Overview

The Associate position is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their career in public relations. This role focuses on supporting client teams, engaging in a variety of tasks from media content creation to research and administrative support. The ideal candidate possesses a proactive attitude, the ability to multitask across projects, and a commitment to learning and growth within the PR field.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Media Coordination:

  • Draft and edit initial versions of public relations materials, including press releases, advisories, and media correspondence.
  • Assist in coordinating media content and engaging in media relations activities, such as compiling media lists and conducting outreach to local, regional, and trade outlets.

Research and Monitoring:

  • Conduct comprehensive online research to support PR initiatives.
  • Monitor news and social media for client mentions, maintaining accurate tracking reports.

Social Media and Administrative Support:

  • Develop social media content for both the agency and its clients.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including compiling meeting notes and agendas.
  • Ensure the accuracy and proofreading of all public relations documents and statements.

Project Management:

  • Manage and organize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Attitude, aptitude, and drive needed to succeed. 
  • Fluent or committed to learning AP Style and proficient in online research, with above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of media relations, content development, digital communication, and the impact of public relations on corporate success.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
